Crusty French Bread toasted and rubbed with garlic, topped with chopped tomatoes and basil.

Ingredients
4mediumFresh Tomatoes
1/2cupFresh Basil Leaves
1/2tspsea salt
1/4tspblack pepper
1loafFrench Bread
2tbspolive oil
1-2clovesfresh garlic
Instructions
Dice Tomatoes. Roll and slice basil leaves into fine ribbons (chiffonade) and combine in bowl with tomatoes, salt and pepper. Set aside.
Cut French bread on the bias to make long half inch thick slices and arrange on baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil on both sides. Place under 375 degree F broiler and toast until golden brown on both sides, being careful not to overcook. Turn half way through. Approx 2-3 minutes per side.
When bread is slightly cooled rub one side with a fresh garlic clove. Spoon fresh tomato mixture onto each slice and serve.
